Don’t miss out on a last chance to create a yearbook booster/advertisement for the PVMS 2012 yearbook. You also have the opportunity to send your child a message in the yearbook or create an advertisement for your personal business. Please contact Miss Cavalli, our yearbook advisor, for additional information at scavalli@pvcsd.org.
We are in the second week of the PTA sponsored PARP (Parents as Reading Partners) program. Students should bring in their PARP slips on Friday mornings to be eligible for a weekly prize raffle. Additionally, there are some PARP Dress-up days:
Feb. 3 – Wear your Favorite Football Jersey
Feb. 10 – Wear your Black and White like a Penguin for PARP "March Into Reading"
Feb. 14 – Wear your RED for Read Every Day
Feb. 17 – PARP Pajama Day!
Please mark your calendars for two upcoming events. The Putnam Valley Education Foundation will be having their Annual Auction on March 3rd at Camp Combe from 7:00 – 10:00 p.m. The proceeds from the auction help to fund grants for teachers and students. Since 2003 the foundation has contributed nearly $90,000 to the District. For more information, please go to: www.pvefny.org. We have also posted two flyers, one for the Auction and the other to purchase tickets. Please find them under the Notices tab and outside events.
We also have a change in date for our “Straight Talk” program. It is now scheduled for May 24th. This is a popular evening that discusses important issues for parents and students. More information to come.
We thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely,
Edward J. Hallisey
Principal
